Since it is important for women to place their baby through an agency in order for an adoption to be successful, it is important to know the services the agency provides that support the birth mothers and the adoptive parents. At ABBA Adoption we know each adoption situation is unique. When you choose the miracle of adoption... ABBA is available for you. We understand that adoptions don’t just happen during regular business hours. So, we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to women facing an unplanned pregnancy and to all our birthmothers. We have heard from mothers considering adoption, when they call other agencies they receive a voice mail or answering machine. A women considering adoption needs an Adoption Coordinator available to her 24 hours a day. You are fully educated on the adoption process. Many pregnant women have fears and concerns when first looking into adoption. ABBA Adoption has staff members that are very experienced with the adoption process. Our staff teaches all the positives associated with adoption without undue pressure which could jeopardize the safety of an adoption. We make sure all options are presented to women considering adoption. We want her decision to be one she is completely comfortable with. You receive continuous support. We offer ongoing counseling and continuous support throughout the adoption process and after the delivery of the child. ABBA Adoption offers “Life time” counseling. Once you have placed a baby through ABBA Adoption, we are here for you the rest of your life to counsel with you in your adoption decision. For instance, once you are older and decide to have a family, you may find you need someone to talk with and when that time comes, we are here for you. If a birthmother changes her mind and decides to parent her child we will continue to assist and counsel with her. You will work with a trained and compassionate Adoption Coordinator. When a woman chooses the miracle of adoption and decides to place her baby, she will meet with a trained and compassionate Adoption Coordinator face to face. The Coordinator and birth mother will complete and sign various forms needed start working on her personalized adoption plan to meet her specific needs. You will have a Licensed Social Worker available to you. It is important as you go through the adoption process that you receive continous counseling. The Licensed Social Worker will customize a counseling plan that is tailored to your specific needs and requests. We have many outreach resources in the community if you are in need of more counseling for your adoption plan and our Licesned Social Worker will assist in coordinating this care for you.
